Dylan Frederickson, DVM

Dylan Frederickson, DVM

Dylan Frederickson began his veterinary journey on a small dairy farm in central Wisconsin. He was inspired to pursue a career in veterinary medicine while watching the veterinarians who treated his family’s farm animals. He saw the difference they were able to make in the lives of those animals, while at the same time easing the concerns of his family. This path led Dr. Frederickson to a degree from the University of Wisconsin.

He believes in a collaborative approach to medicine, working with his colleagues whenever possible. Using systematic and thorough methods, Dr. Frederickson couples common sense with innovation. He enjoys emergency medicine for the diversity of cases, the intensity, the hands-on intervention, and the challenge of working toward solving the immediate problems of the patients he sees.

Jane Lazzara grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago. She received her degree from Ross University. Upon graduation, Dr. Lazzara completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Atlantic Coast Veterinary Specialists in NY. Dr. Lazzara remained at ACVS as an emergency clinician until she moved to Nashville, TN.

Dr. Lazzara worked in Nashville as an emergency and general practitioner before joining CVESC. She enjoys the challenge and excitement of emergency medicine; knowing she can make a difference when seconds count. Erin Tennyson, VMD

Erin Tennyson, VMD

Erin Tennyson comes from Hightstown, NJ on the East Coast. Since her sister is allergic to animals, she never had pets, but still somehow managed to develop a keen interest in animals. As a student at Yale University, she thought about working with animals in the lab, but soon changed her mind. After receiving her BS in chemistry, she went on to enroll in Veterinary School at the University of Pennsylvania, where she received her VMD. Upon graduation, Dr. Tennyson did an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Oradell Animal Hospital close to home in northern New Jersey.

Dr. Tennyson loves the emergency room for the wide variety of cases to which she is exposed. Applying compassionate care that focuses on the whole clinical picture, while working with clients to do what is best for them and their pets, is the way she practices medicine on a daily basis. For her, the best part of the job is helping a sick animal make a complete recovery and seeing how excited that animal gets when the owner comes to take him or her home.
